Renal Care & Treatments

Comprehensive diagnostic assessments and personalized clinical management plans for all stages of kidney health.

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Management

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a gradual loss of kidney function over time. If left unmanaged, it can progress to kidney failure. Early clinical intervention, tight blood pressure control, and specialized dietary adjustments can substantially delay the need for dialysis.

Common Warning Symptoms:

  • Swelling in the ankles, feet, or hands (fluid retention)
  • Persistent fatigue and shortness of breath
  • Changes in urination frequency or foamy urine
  • Unexplained nausea, loss of appetite, or metallic taste

Management Plan

  • Regular monitoring of Serum Creatinine & eGFR levels
  • Medication management to protect kidney filters (ACEi/ARBs)
  • Low-sodium, controlled-protein, and low-potassium diet plans
  • Routine blood pressure and blood sugar checks

Hemodialysis Guidance & Prescription

When kidneys can no longer filter blood sufficiently (Stage 5 CKD or kidney failure), dialysis is required to remove toxins and excess fluids. We coordinate complete outpatient hemodialysis prescriptions, manage dialysis access (AV Fistula), and treat associated symptoms.

Common Warning Symptoms:

  • Severe fluid overload causing difficulty breathing
  • High levels of potassium (Hyperkalemia) in the blood
  • Uremic symptoms like severe itching, hiccups, or confusion
  • Anemia caused by reduced erythropoietin production

Dialysis Supervision

  • Dialysis frequency prescription (usually 2-3 times a week)
  • AV Fistula patency check and complication management
  • Dry weight management to prevent blood pressure drops
  • Erythropoietin and Iron therapy to manage severe anemia

Kidney Transplant Referral & Consulting

Kidney transplantation offers the best long-term quality of life for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). We guide families through donor matching (HLA typing), medical workups, crossmatch tests, and manage post-transplant immunosuppressant titration.

Common Warning Symptoms:

  • End-Stage Renal Disease (eGFR below 15)
  • Patients undergoing maintenance dialysis seeking long-term options
  • Compatible living family donors looking for medical clearance

Transplant Phases

  • HLA matching and tissue cross-matching consulting
  • Pre-transplant recipient and donor medical workouts
  • Immunosuppressant drug titration (Tacrolimus, Cyclosporine)
  • Post-transplant infection prevention and rejection monitoring

Renal Hypertension Management

High blood pressure is both a cause and a consequence of kidney disease. Renal hypertension refers to high blood pressure caused by kidney disease or narrowing of the renal arteries (renal artery stenosis). It is often resistant to standard medications.

Common Warning Symptoms:

  • High blood pressure that does not respond to 3+ medications
  • Sudden, unexplained spikes in blood pressure
  • Headaches, nosebleeds, or blurred vision linked to high BP

Treatment Protocols

  • Evaluation of renal artery stenosis via Doppler ultrasound
  • Prescription of specialized anti-hypertensive drugs
  • Close monitoring of renal function during drug adjustments
  • 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring advice
